Operations on other bones: Incision in bone, septic and aseptic: Sequesterotomy: Metatarsals
You have had an operation on one or more of your metatarsal bones.
The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones.
This intervention involved making one or more incisions in your skin.
A piece of bone that had died off was then removed from your metatarsal bones.
Damaged tissue or dirt can also be removed during this type of intervention.
