5-782.1e:
Operations on other bones: Excision and resection of diseased bone tissue: Partial resection with soft tissue resection: Neck of femur
You have had altered bone tissue removed from your femur.
The femur has an upper, middle and lower section. The upper section of the femur is connected to the pelvic bones by the hip joint. The upper section includes the neck and head of the femur plus 2 bony protrusions. The bony protrusions lie between the neck of the femur and its central section. The neck of the femur is set at an angle to the central section. There are various soft tissues around the femur. Soft tissue includes muscles, fatty tissue and connective tissue, for example.
In your case bone tissue was removed from the neck of your femur. Additional soft tissue was also removed during the operation.
