OPS-Code 5-782.53:

Operations on other bones: Excision and resection of diseased bone tissue: Partial resection with continuity severance, restoration of continuity and soft tissue resection: Distal humerus

You have had altered bone tissue removed from the lower end of your humerus.

There are different parts to the humerus. The top end is connected to the shoulder blade in the shoulder joint. In the middle of the humerus there is a long, straight section. The lower end is connected to the forearm in the elbow joint.

There are various soft tissues around the humerus. Soft tissue includes muscles, fatty tissue and connective tissue, for example. In addition to the altered bone tissue, you also had soft tissue from the area surrounding the humerus removed. The operation involved cutting right through the humerus. The humerus was then put back together.
