In order to remove altered bone tissue, one or more of the phalanges of your hand were removed and then replaced.
The hand is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The hand can be divided into 3 sections. The wrist (carpus) is directly connected to the forearm. Then comes the metacarpus and then the individual fingers. The thumb consists of 2 finger bones. The other fingers consist of 3 finger bones.
