OPS-Code 5-782.bk:
Operations on other bones: Excision and resection of diseased bone tissue: Partial resection, endoscopic: Proximal tibia
Altered bone tissue was removed from the upper end of your shinbone (tibia).
There are 2 bones in the lower leg, the tibia and the fibula. The tibia is on the inside of the leg. The fibula is on the outside of the leg. Both bones in the lower leg have an upper, middle and lower section. The top end of the tibia is connected to the femur by the knee joint. The top ends of the tibia and fibula are also connected by a joint just below the knee joint.
The changed bone tissue was removed during an arthroscopy. An arthroscopy first involves making a small incision in the skin. A thin tube is advanced through this incision. There is a camera at the top of the tube. The camera transmits images of the inside of the joint to a screen. Instruments such as forceps and scissors can be inserted into the joint through other small incisions.
Additional indicator
