OPS-Code 5-783.6u:

Operations on other bones: Extraction of a bone graft: Cartilage-bone graft: Tarsals

You have had bone material surgically removed from your tarsal bones so that it can be used somewhere else.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The tarsus consists of 7 tarsal bones. The tarsal bones form the rear part of the foot.

The bones in a joint are covered with cartilage. When the joint is moved, the cartilage prevents the bones from rubbing against one another. The cartilage is normally strong and elastic, with a smooth surface. Together with the bone material, cartilage was also taken from you.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
