OPS-Code 5-783.75:
Operations on other bones: Extraction of a bone graft: Bone graft, vascular pedicled, non microvascular anastomized: Shaft of radius
You have had bone material surgically removed from your radius so that it can be used somewhere else.
There are 2 bones in the forearm, the ulna and the radius. The ulna is on the side where your little finger is. The radius is on the side where your thumb is. Both bones in the forearm have an upper, middle and lower section. The ulna and the radius both have a long, straight section in the middle.
Bone material has been removed from the middle section of your radius.
Blood vessels supply the radius with oxygen and nutrients, among other things. A special technique was used to remove the bone material. The bone material remains connected with the original site by means of a blood vessel. The blood vessel was not severed. As a result, the bone material can continue to be supplied with blood. This should help the bone material to fuse with other bone material at the new site.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

- R: Right
