OPS-Code 5-783.7v:

Operations on other bones: Extraction of a bone graft: Bone graft, vascular pedicled, non microvascular anastomized: Metatarsals

You have had bone material surgically removed from metatarsal bones so that it can be used somewhere else.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones.

Blood vessels supply the metatarsal bones and phalanges of the foot with oxygen and nutrients, among other things. A special technique was used to remove the bone material. The bone material remains connected with the original site by means of a blood vessel. The blood vessel was not severed. As a result, the bone material can continue to be supplied with blood. This should help the bone material to fuse with other bone material at the new site.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
