You have had bones or parts of bones stabilized using a special holding fixture.

To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.

You have had metal pins or screws inserted into the bone through the skin from outside. These were then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

L: Left
R: Right
B: Both sides
