Aids have been removed from one or more of your bones.
To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.
One or more long pins have been removed from inside your bone.
The long pins are used to stabilize the bone from within. The long nails are inserted through bones and join these bones together. Joints, for example, can be temporarily reinforced like this.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
