You have had an operation on the part of your metatarsus that is adjacent to your big toe.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones.

The metatarsal bone adjacent to your big toe has been severed in 2 places. The pieces of bone can then be put back together slightly differently. This can change the position of the big toe, for example.
