Your tibia has been re-stabilized using aids.
There are 2 bones in the lower leg, the tibia and the fibula. The tibia is on the inside of the leg. The fibula is on the outside of the leg. Both bones in the lower leg have an upper, middle and lower section.
The bone fragments from the mid-section of your tibia have been joined and stabilized using a special fixation system.
The special fixation system involves inserting metal pins or screws through the skin from outside and into the tibia. These are then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
