Operations on other bones: Inspection of osteosynthesis material with reosteosynthesis: By ring fixator: Shaft of radius
Your radius has been re-stabilized using aids.
There are 2 bones in the forearm, the ulna and the radius. The ulna is on the side where your little finger is. The radius is on the side where your thumb is. Both bones in the forearm have an upper, middle and lower section. The ulna and the radius both have a long, straight section in the middle.
The bone fragments from the mid-section of your radius have been joined and stabilized using a special fixation system. For the special holding system, metal pins or screws are inserted into the radius through the skin from outside. These are then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system. The fixation system consists of some rings and pins located around the bone.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
