You have broken one or more tarsal bones. These have now been surgically stabilized.
The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The tarsus consists of 7 tarsal bones. The tarsal bones form the rear part of the foot.
First of all, the fragments were surgically put back in their normal place. The fragments were then joined together and stabilized using wires or plastic bands.
