5-790.42:
Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Closed repositioning of a fracture or epiphyseal separation with osteosynthesis: By inter-locking nail: Shaft of humerus
The long, straight section of your humerus was broken and it has been surgically stabilized.
There are different parts to the humerus. The top end is connected to the shoulder blade in the shoulder joint. In the middle of the humerus there is a long, straight section. The lower end is connected to the forearm in the elbow joint.
First of all, the fragments of your humerus were surgically put back in their normal place. The site concerned was then joined together and stabilized using a long pin inside the bone. The purpose of the long pin is to stabilize the humerus from within. To do this, the pin is inserted into the bone. The long pin may also be screwed to the bone at its ends.
