One or more of your bones have been surgically stabilized using aids.

The fragments of the bones concerned were put back in their normal place, and joined together and stabilized using a long pin.

The purpose of the long pin is to stabilize the bone from the inside. To do this, the pin is inserted into the bone. The long pin is also attached to a big screw. This screw stabilizes other parts of the bone. The long pin may also be screwed to the bone at its ends.
