Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Closed repositioning of a fracture or epiphyseal separation with osteosynthesis: By fixed angle plate/condylar plate: Shaft of femur

The mid-section of your femur was broken and it has been surgically stabilized.

The femur has an upper, middle and lower section. The lower section of the femur is connected to the lower leg bones by the knee joint.

First of all, the fragments of your femur were put back in their normal place. The site concerned was then joined together and stabilized using one or more plates.

The plate is angled or curved. This enables the plate to be adjusted to properly fit the shape of the femur.
