Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Closed repositioning of a fracture or epiphyseal separation with osteosynthesis: By combinations of material: Shaft of fibula

The long, straight section of your fibula was broken and it has been surgically stabilized.

There are 2 bones in the lower leg, the tibia and the fibula. The tibia is on the inside of the leg. The fibula is on the outside of the leg. Both bones in the lower leg have an upper, middle and lower section.

The mid-section of your fibula was broken. First of all, the fragments of your fibula were surgically put back in their normal place and joined together.

Special devices were used to hold them together and stabilize the affected site.

To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.
