One or more of your bones have been surgically stabilized using aids.
The fragments of the bones concerned were put back in their normal place, and a special fixation system and other special aids were used to join and stabilize them. To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.
The special fixation system involves inserting metal pins or screws through the skin from outside and into the bone. These are then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system.
