The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones.
One or more of your metatarsal bones were affected. First of all, the pieces of bone were surgically put back in their normal place. The bone fragments were then joined together and stabilized using one or more plates.
