Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Closed repositioning of a fracture or epiphyseal separation with osteosynthesis: By dynamic fixator: Metatarsals
One or more bones in your foot have been surgically straightened and stabilized using aids.
The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones.
One or more of your metatarsal bones were affected. First of all, the pieces of bone were surgically put back in their normal place.
Your metatarsal bone fragments were then joined and stabilized using a special fixation system. The special fixation system involves inserting metal pins or screws through the skin from outside and into the bone. These are then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system. The holding system is designed to be mobile. This enables the foot to be moved.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
