You broke your fibula (calf bone) and had an operation on it.

There are 2 bones in the lower leg, the tibia and the fibula. The tibia is on the inside of the leg. The fibula is on the outside of the leg. Both bones in the lower leg have an upper, middle and lower section. The tibia and fibula both have a long, straight section in the middle. You broke the long, straight section of your fibula.

You had an operation to bring the broken parts of your fibula back together and put them into their normal position. The break was stabilized using one or more plates.
