Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a multiple fragment fracture in the shaft area of a long bone: By wire or tension band wiring/cerclage: Shaft of humerus
You have broken your humerus (upper arm bone) and had an operation on it.
There are different parts to the humerus. The top end is connected to the shoulder blade in the shoulder joint. In the middle of the humerus there is a long, straight section. The lower end is connected to the forearm in the elbow joint. You have broken the long, straight section of your humerus. The break consisted of multiple broken parts.
You had an operation to bring the broken parts of your humerus back together and put them into their normal position. The break was stabilized using wires or plastic tapes around the bones.
