Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a multiple fragment fracture in the shaft area of a long bone: By wire or tension band wiring/cerclage: Shaft of tibia
You broke your tibia and had an operation on it.
There are 2 bones in the lower leg, the tibia and the fibula. The tibia is on the inside of the leg. The fibula is on the outside of the leg. Both bones in the lower leg have an upper, middle and lower section. The tibia and fibula both have a long, straight section in the middle.
The long, straight section of your tibia is broken in more than one place.
You had an operation to bring the broken parts of your tibia back together and put them into their normal position. The break was stabilized using wires or plastic tapes around the bones.
