Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a multiple fragment fracture in the shaft area of a long bone: By fixed angle plate/condylar plate: Other
One or more bones in your arm or leg were broken and have been operated on.
The arms and legs each consist of various long bones. These long bones can be divided into different sections. The bones have a long, straight section in the middle. At their ends, the long bones are joined to other bones by joints.
In your case the long, straight bone sections have been broken into various pieces. You had an operation to bring the broken parts back together and put them into their normal position.
The break was stabilized using one or more plates.
The plate is angled or curved. One part sits on the long, straight section of the bone. The other part is angled or curved so that it can match the shape of the bone properly.
