5-793.14:
Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a simple fracture in the joint area of a long bone: By screw: Proximal radius
You broke your radius and had an operation on it.
There are 2 bones in the forearm, the ulna and the radius. The ulna is on the side where your little finger is. The radius is on the side where your thumb is. Both bones in the forearm have an upper, middle and lower section. The top ends of ulna and radius, along with the humerus, form the elbow joint. You broke the upper end of your radius.
You had an operation to bring the broken parts of your radius back together and put them into their normal position. The break was stabilized using one or more screws.
