Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a simple fracture in the joint area of a long bone: By external fixator with internal osteosynthesis: Other
One or more of your bones were straightened in an operation and stabilized using devices.
The parts of the affected bone(s) were surgically returned to their normal position and put back together. The parts of the bone were then stabilized using a special fixation system and other special devices. To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.
The special fixation system involves inserting metal pins or screws through the skin from outside and into the bone. These are then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
