5-794.5n:

Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a multiple fragment fracture in the joint area of a long bone: By external fixator: Distal tibia

The lower part of your tibia was broken and you have had an operation to align and stabilize it using aids.

To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal, plastic or carbon, for example.

There are 2 bones in the lower leg. The tibia is on the inside of the lower leg. The lower part of your tibia has been stabilized using a special holding system. For the special holding system you have had metal pins or screws inserted into your tibia through the skin from outside. These were then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system.
