Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a multiple fragment fracture in the joint area of a long bone: By combinations of material: Other
One or more bones in your arm or leg were broken and have been operated on.
The arms and legs each consist of various long bones. These long bones can be divided into different sections. The bones have a long, straight section in the middle. At their ends, the long bones are joined to other bones by joints.
In your case the bone ends have broken into various pieces at the joint. You had an operation to bring the broken parts back together and put them into their normal position.
The break was stabilized using special devices.
To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.
