5-794.n7:

Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a multiple fragment fracture in the joint area of a long bone: By dynamic fixator: Proximal ulna

You broke your ulna and had an operation on it.

There are 2 bones in the forearm, the ulna and the radius. The ulna is on the side where your little finger is. The radius is on the side where your thumb is. Both bones in the forearm have an upper, middle and lower section. The top ends of ulna and radius, along with the humerus, form the elbow joint. The top end of your ulna is broken in more than one place.

You had an operation to bring the broken parts of your ulna back together and put them into their normal position. The break was stabilized using a special brace.

For the special holding system you have had metal pins or screws inserted into your forearm bone through the skin from outside. These were then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system. The holding system is designed to be mobile. This enables the forearm to be moved.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
