You broke your collarbone and had an operation on it.
The collarbone is a bone at the front of the ribcage. It runs from the ribcage to the shoulder and joins the shoulder blade at the shoulder.
You had an operation to bring the broken parts of your collarbone back together and put them into their normal position. The break was stabilized using a plate.
