Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a simple fracture in small bones: By combinations of materials with reconstruction of the joint surface: Clavicle
Your collarbone (clavicle) was broken and was surgically stabilized using devices.
The collarbone (clavicle) is a bone at the front of the ribcage. It runs from the ribcage to the shoulder and joins the shoulder blade at the shoulder.
You had an operation to have the fragments of your collarbone (clavicle) returned to their normal position and put back together. Your collarbone (clavicle) was then stabilized using special devices. To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.
