Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a simple fracture in small bones: By dynamic fixator: Metatarsals
One or more of your metatarsal bones were broken and were surgically stabilized using devices.
The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones.
You had an operation to first return the fragments of the affected bones to their normal position and put them back together.
In an operation, the affected parts of your metatarsal bone were returned to their normal position, and a special fixation system was used to put them back together and stabilize them for you. The special fixation system involves inserting metal pins or screws through the skin from outside and into the bone. These are then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system. The holding system is designed to be mobile. This enables the foot to be moved.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
