Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a simple fracture in small bones: By dynamic fixator: Other

One or more of your bones were broken and were surgically stabilized using devices.

You had an operation to return the parts of the affected bones to their normal position and put them back together. The fracture sites were then stabilized using a special fixation system.

The special fixation system involves inserting metal pins or screws through the skin from outside and into the bone. These are then joined to one another outside the body using a holding system. The holding system is designed to be mobile. This enables the relevant body part to be moved.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides

Further information

Note

Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
