Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Closed repositioning of a joint luxation with osteosynthesis: By wire or tension band wiring/cerclage: Metatarsophalangeal joint

You had an operation to stabilize one or more dislocated bones in your foot.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones.

You dislocated one or more joints between your metatarsal bones and your toes. The bones have been put back into their normal position. The bones were stabilized using wires or plastic tapes. This can be done via small incisions in the skin.
