Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Closed repositioning of a joint luxation with osteosynthesis: By external fixator: Wrist, unspecified

You had an operation that put the bones of your wrist back into their correct position and stabilized them.

The wrist joins the hand to the forearm. There are 2 bones in the forearm. These bones are called the ulna and the radius. As well as the actual wrist there is also a joint between the ends of the ulna and the radius.

You had a dislocated wrist. The bones in your wrist were first put back into their right position and a special restraint system was then used to stabilize them. You have had metal pins or screws inserted into the bones through the skin from outside. A brace was then used to connect these metal rods or screws to one another outside your body.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
