A second joint connects the shoulder blade to the collarbone. The collarbone is also connected to the sternum by another joint.
The bones of your shoulder joint were first returned to their correct position. Your shoulder joint was then stabilized using special devices.
To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.
