OPS-Code 5-79a.8q:

Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Closed repositioning of a joint luxation with osteosynthesis: By combinations of material: Metatarsophalangeal joint

One or more joints between your metatarsal bones and the phalanges of your foot were realigned and stabilized using aids.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones. The big toe consists of 2 toe bones. The other toes consist of 3 toe bones. The individual phalanges of the foot are connected to each other via a joint.

The bones of the affected joints between your metatarsal bones and the phalanges of your foot were first returned to their correct position. The joints between your metatarsal bones and the phalanges of your foot were then stabilized using special aids.

To stabilize bones or parts of bones, various aids can be used. They can be made of metal or plastic, for example.
