One or more of your joints were realigned and stabilized using aids.
The bones of the affected joints were first returned to their correct position. The joints were then stabilized inside the bone using one or more long pins.
The purpose of the long pins is to stabilize the joint from within. To achieve this, they are inserted into the interior of the bone. The long nails are inserted through bones and join these bones together. Joints can be temporarily reinforced like this.
