A loose piece of tissue or a foreign body has been removed from one or more of your metatarsophalangeal joints.
The metatarsophalangeal joints are the joints between the metatarsal bones and the toe bones.
There was a loose piece of tissue or a foreign body in one or more of your metatarsophalangeal joints. A loose piece of tissue like this may be, for example, a piece of bone. Foreign bodies or loose pieces of tissue can restrict mobility in the joint. The foreign body or piece of tissue has been surgically removed.
The operation involved opening the joints via an incision in your skin.
