Part of the synovial membrane in your shoulder joint has been removed.

Joints are encased in a joint capsule. The synovial membrane lines the inside of the joint capsule.

Part of the synovial membrane in your shoulder joint has been removed via an arthroscopy. An arthroscopy first involves making a small incision in the skin. A camera was pushed through this incision. This camera sends images of the inside of the joint to a screen. Instruments such as forceps and scissors can be inserted into the joint through other small incisions.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
