Operations on the spine: Spondylodesis: Dorsal: 1 segment

Your spine has been stiffened in a certain place.

The spine is made up of the individual vertebrae. Between every 2 vertebrae there is a vertebral disc. An area made up of 2 adjacent vertebrae is called a segment.

You have had the vertebrae in one segment attached to each other from behind to stiffen them. The operation may also involve replacing the disk between the vertebrae.

Additional indicator
