Operations on muscles, tendons, fasciae and bursas: Reconstruction of tendons: (Partial) Transposition: Back of foot and tarsus

You have had an operation to lengthen a tendon, or parts of a tendon, in your tarsus.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The tarsus consists of 7 tarsal bones. The tarsal bones form the rear part of the foot.

Tendons are made up of very firm connective tissue. Tendons attach muscles to bones.
