Operations on muscles, tendons, fasciae and bursas: Other operations on muscles, tendons, fasciae and bursas: Resection of a ganglion: Abdominal region
A ganglion in your abdomen has been removed.
A ganglion is a lump in a tendon sheath or a joint capsule.
Tendons are made up of very firm connective tissue. Tendons attach muscles to bones. A tendon sheath is a covering for the tendon. It cushions the tendon and contains a small amount of fluid. This reduces friction between the tendon and its surroundings.
The joint capsule is a layer of connective tissue that encircles a joint.
