Operations on muscles, tendons, fasciae and bursas: Other operations on muscles, tendons, fasciae and bursas: Probe implantation for external pre-stimulation (pre-conditioning) for the cardiomyoplasty: Chest wall and back

You have had a probe implanted in a muscle in preparation for a heart operation.

With certain heart disorders, the heart can be wrapped in, and thus supported by, a piece of back muscle.

Before the operation itself, your back muscle has been prepared for this new task. To do so, a probe was used that stimulates the muscle with electrical signals.
