You have had your toes and parts of your metatarsus surgically detached.

The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones. The big toe consists of 2 toe bones. The other toes consist of 3 toe bones.
