Die Brust besteht aus Fettgewebe, Bindegewebe und der Brustdrüse. In der Brustdrüse wird während und nach der Schwangerschaft Milch gebildet, um das Kind stillen zu können.

Bei einer Operation wird ein Schnitt in die Haut gemacht, um Gewebe aus der Brust zu entfernen. Anschließend kann eine Metall-Klammer dort im Brustgewebe befestigt werden. So kann man später genau diese Stelle wiederfinden, zum Beispiel bei einer Operation.
