Die Brust besteht aus Fettgewebe, Bindegewebe und der Brustdrüse. In der Brustdrüse wird während und nach der Schwangerschaft Milch gebildet, um das Kind stillen zu können.
Um die Brust abzunehmen, werden in einer Operation die Brustdrüse und das übrige Brustgewebe entfernt. Darüber hinaus hat man bei Ihnen einen Teil des kleinen Brustmuskels entfernt.
Der große und der kleine Brustmuskel bedecken die Rippen im Bereich der Brust. Mit den Brustmuskeln kann man den Oberarm vor dem Körper in Richtung Körpermitte bewegen. Außerdem kann man mit den Brustmuskeln den Oberarm nach innen drehen und die Schulter absenken.
