Other operations on skin and hypoderm: Removal of surface layers of skin: Brushing, small area: Other parts of the head

You have had surface layers of skin removed from your head.

The skin is made up of multiple layers. The epidermis is on the outside. The epidermis does not get any blood. Below this is the dermis. There are lots of blood vessels and nerves in the dermis. Below the dermis is the subcutaneous tissue. It contains fatty tissue and connective tissue.

The skin of your head has been brushed. This enabled foreign particles, for example, to be removed from the top layers of skin.
