Your neuropacemaker is suitable for an MRI scan.
When an MRI scan is done, a strong magnetic field is used. So, if someone has certain metals in their body, they are not usually permitted to be scanned in the MRI machine.
However, with your neuropacemaker, you can be scanned in the MRI machine because special materials have been used.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
